Nicole uses time-limited, respectful and solution-focused treatments for individuals and families. Avoiding traditional models of treatment that focus on pathologies and limitations, she uses cognitive, behavioral and dialectical theories and techniques when conceptualizing and treating client difficulties.

She enjoys working with children, teens and adults and has enjoyed tremendous success assisting clients in the resolution of a variety of struggles. Her style is to emphasize competence and the development of resources throughout the treatment process.

She is best known in the community for providing group and individual parent training to assist with oppositional, inattentive, and conduct concerns that adversely impact family functioning and well-being. She works well with parents and children of diverse backgrounds and capabilities on issues relating to emotional, social and behavioral development and functioning.

In addition to working with parents and children she assists those dealing with chronic pain to develop psychological tools found consistently in research studies to help minimize suffering. Everyday she assists her clients in making long-lasting lifestyle changes.

She coaches individuals and couples in creating and maintaining healthy interactions, which lead to treasured personal relationships.

Her pragmatic nature has led her to travel off-site to conduct sessions for those with particularly busy schedules or demanding work responsibilities. She contributes on a monthly basis to her community as a public speaker, providing lectures and workshops as a mental health practitioner at prescheduled community group meetings and non-profit fundraising events.

She is a staff member at Fern Life Center, a unique and progressive Ayurvedic wellness center that promotes health and balance through a combination of naturopathic medicine, nutrition, massage, yoga, instruction in meditation and luxurious spa services.
